Les recommandations de navigation sont couvertes dans votre briefing cartographique lors de l'enregistrement. Si le temps le permet, vos zones de navigation dans les Abacos sont limitées à la mer d'Abaco, y compris Great Abaco et de nombreuses cayes à l'est. Le passage devant Whale Cay peut être approuvé par des capitaines très expérimentés par la base en été et avec signature de renonciation. (Et une charte minimum de deux semaines est recommandée). Les bateaux ne sont pas autorisés au nord de Whale Cay pendant l'hiver sans capitaine supérieur. Les autres périodes de l'année, une autorisation sera accordée en fonction de la météo.
Navigare ne peut pas répondre aux appels de poursuite en dehors des zones de navigation standard.
La mer d'Abaco présente souvent des eaux très peu profondes et des récifs offshore dangereux ; s'il vous plaît être conscient de la marée à tout moment (amplitude des marées jusqu'à 4 pieds), en particulier lorsque vous naviguez dans des cayes peu profondes et au mouillage. Soyez également conscient des récifs offshore dangereux.

Discover the boat building capital of The Bahamas. The Albury family (who operate the Albury Ferry service) are still in the boat building business today. Joe Albury builds handcrafted boats from his workshop.
- Albury’s Sail Shop a family owned business that has been in operation for three – generations on Man O War Cay. It is well- known for colorful fashionable items that are all made from sturdy canvas fabric, traditionally used for sails.
- Man - O - War Heritage Museum located in a small wooden home built in the 1800’S. On display are archival records, artifacts and historical materials relating to their boat building legacy.
- Joe’s Studio & Emporium specialize in hand made wooden boat models and a variety of souvenirs. Joe is a recipient of the prestigious Cacique Award for outstanding work in Handicraft in The Bahamas.
- Albury’s Design, a 3rd generation woodworker specializing in wooden boat models
Beautiful beaches, a picturesque settlement, spectacular sunsets and world-class sailing are the highlights of Great Guana Cay. Nippers Beach Bar and Grill is a renowned beach hangout, particularly on Sundays when they have their pig roast buffet.
Home to a population of around 450, New Plymouth is the main settlement on the island where you will find the Albert Lowe Museum and Loyalist Heritage Sculpture Garden. Green Turtle Cay has some great diving and snorkeling sites along its outer reef. A fantastic base for discovering the Abacos unique marine life, it is within close proximity to the stingrays and sharks found at Manjack Cay as well as the swimming pigs of No Name Cay.

Elbow Cay is a 6 mile long island that is home to Hope Town. At the southern tip lies Tahiti Beach with a stunning sand bar which is accessible at low tide.
