Navigare Yachting was given a sneak peek of the Lagoon 51 on the 25th of January, and now we’re able to share this brand-new model with you!
Very little has yet been revealed about this model, in particular, its launch date. So far, we could only speculate that this model would be something very different, building on the developments of the amazing Lagoon 55. We can now confirm that the Lagoon 51 is spectacular and was worth the wait!
It will be launched and shown for the first time at La Grande-Motte Multihull Boat Show 2022, 20 - 24th April! Lagoon 51 will be greener, easier to board, even more, spacious with a focus on being able to easily move around, and will have an enormous swimming platform in the aft. The bold statement of moving the mast forward allows the flybridge and cockpit to offer an even bigger space to relax and hang out, without disturbing the steering area. The Lagoon 51 will keep its smooth and gentle lines, significant to the brand!
The Lagoon is further extending its development of sustainable catamarans. The Lagoon 51 will, among many other green solutions, be built with hemp fiber hatches, recycled upholstery fabric, and FSC Alpi wood and will have 3400 W solar panels on the flybridge and the roof!
The flybridge of the Lagoon 51 will have access on both port and starboard sides, with the steering area in the middle - allowing you to not be disturbed by others in the crew walking by when you’re steering. The flybridge is very spacious, with full headroom. The Lagoon 51 will have a C- shaped lounge area behind the steering area, with reversible backrests, which creates a complete lounge sofa during anchorage. In front of the steering area, there is room for luxurious sunbeds, thanks to moving the mast forward.
One of our favorite features of the model is the new aft platform. It allows you to easily board the yacht, inviting you to enjoy the sea up close! This enormous terrasse on the sea will be a very popular feature of Lagoon 51.
The cockpit and saloon are well planned and spacious, which is also a result of moving the mast forward. The saloon has a proper solution to dine together inside with easy circulation to move around. The front cockpit has been optimized, with a welcoming seating area comfortably adjusted for the depth of one's feet and a proper table. The aft cockpit has the space for a sink, icemaker, and a fridge, creating the perfect outdoor dining area! The cabins in Lagoon 51 are even more spacious since the beds are strategically placed to give you as much space as possible to move around.
The standard equipment of the Lagoon 51 will include 80HP engines, a 6-cabin layout, 830 L water tanks, a chart table seat, and a fully equipped flybridge. Lagoon has also made some improved modifications, which include bringing back the gravity black water tank and grey water draining tank.
Björn Harkell Sales Director - About the new Lagoon 51
Read our sellers' opinion on Lagoon 51! We have all been curious about what Lagoon would present to us here next and Lagoon 51 is perfect both when it comes to design and function.
The Lagoon is on a path to greener manufacturing, which is clear now that the presented the L51, the enormous improvement of the 3400 W solar panels is amazing! And the fact that they are using recycled materials. It’s very spacious, light has nice lines and a smooth silhouette.
The mast has been moved forward, which creates a fantastic open space in the saloon - without the mast mount to take into consideration on the inside. This also gives the flybridge two nice sunbeds on the roof and a full headroom on the flybridge underneath the boom. The flybridge itself is very big, it allows a lot of people to relax on the lounge sofa behind the steering wheel, this is something that has been missing on the Lagoon 50. There’s also room to sit beside the person steering the yacht! Moreover, the aft transom is huge! The hull has been extended, allowing you to safely board the yacht, which is especially an improvement when you’re docked long. This has been tricky on other models.
It’s suitable for all of our destinations, but I can see this model living out its full potential in Seychelles! Allowing the aft platform to be used as many days in a year as possible! Imagine diving into crystal clear water or just hanging out with your feet dangling from the fantastic sea terrasse!
We can place the Lagoon 51 in all three of our ownership programs, ultimate, complete, or smart-low. If you would be interested in hearing more about our ownership programs, feel free to contact me or any of my colleagues. You could book a meeting with us at the La Grande-Motte Multihull Boat Show for example! I’m looking forward to seeing it live for the first time at the show in April. Hope to see you there as well!
