La Grande Motte 2025: Recap, New Yacht Models & Upcoming Events
With 73 yachts lining the docks and 10 world premieres on the schedule, the 2025 edition of the International Multihull Show kicked off on April 23rd in the coastal town of La Grande-Motte, France. For the next five days, visitors from across the globe and exhibitors, including some of the world’s most renowned shipyards, charter companies, yachting innovators, and brokers, gathered to tour yachts, mingle, share ideas, and celebrate the international boating community.
Celebrating its 16th anniversary, this event once again delivered an inspiring showcase of innovation and world-class yacht design. Sustainability took the center stage at this year’s show, with several electric propulsion and hybrid yachts on display and many exhibitors proudly promoting renewable energy systems and yacht design elements made from recycled materials.

The Lagoon 46 Iconic: A Reinvented Cruising Experience
First launched in 2019, the Lagoon 46 represents the perfect blend of performance, comfort, and design, and has become one of Lagoon’s most successful models ever built. An icon in her own right, this model continues to set the standard for cruising catamarans worldwide.
The Lagoon 46 is known for effortless handling, optimal comfort, and elegant open layouts. With intuitive sailing features like a self-tacking jib and a centrally placed mast, the yacht is built to handle long-range sailing while agile enough for easy coastal cruising.
New for 2025, Lagoon has unveiled the Lagoon 46 Iconic—a refined version of the original that introduces updated living spaces, enhanced forward sun pads, and a nostalgic design nod to Lagoon’s early heritage. The forward swim ladder and newly designed interior by Nauta Design add to the appeal, making this catamaran a timeless choice for families, couples, and experienced sailors alike.
World Premieres at the International Multihull Show
Besides the ability to meet with the most renowned shipyards in the world and tour an array of popular sailing catamarans and motorcats, La Grande Motte Boat Show hosted the world premiere of several brand-new yachts, including the Lagoon 38 and the Excess 13, two groundbreaking sailing catamarans, now available for purchase in charter through Navigare Yachting.
Lagoon 38: Lightweight Agility Meets Spacious Comfort
The Lagoon 38 combines the agile performance of a smaller, compact catamaran with the comfort and space of a much larger yacht. This 37-foot vessel offers signature Lagoon styling, bright interiors with a full galley and the Lagoon vertical windows, and a seamless indoor-outdoor layout.
Highlights include a roomy cockpit, oversized swim platform, forward lounge with trampoline, and a 4-cabin/2-bath layout ideal for families or charter guests. Lightweight and easy to handle, the Lagoon 38 is perfect for both relaxed cruising and longer adventures.
Excess 13: A Fresh Take on Modern Sailing Catamarans
Also debuting in La Grande Motte, the Excess 13 brings sporty performance and sleek design to the 2025 charter fleet. This agile catamaran features twin aft helms, a powerful sail plan, and responsive handling for sailors who want more control at sea.
Designed with a new team of architects, the Excess 13 brings new character to the Excess brand while staying true to its core identity, like honoring the thrill of sailing and maximizing storage space for long-passage cruising. The interior boasts an open salon with panoramic views and a spacious galley. Wide transoms, sunbathing areas, and easy deck access make it equally comfortable at anchor or underway. At 42 feet, the Excess 13 is spacious beyond its size and comes in a comfortable 4-cabin/4-bath version, ideal for ownership in charter.
