The Dufour 470 launched in 2021 as the replacement for the Dufour 460. This 47 foot sailing yacht benefits from all the latest design and technological innovations in its interior layouts, hull design, and deck fittings.
The imposing vertical bow and “cutaway” before the freeboard give the Dufour 470 a very elegant look and a unique style on the water. The coachroof is in total harmony with the hull, finely drawn, wide and plunging towards the bow.
The Dufour 470 is very easy to sail single-handed, thanks to the winches and cleats purposefully located in the cockpit. As a nice bonus, this sailplan frees up the deck while at anchor or at the dock.
The Dufour 470 is the first Dufour model manufactured with the injection technique and a fiberglass and polyester foam sandwich. This manufacturing method results in perfect weight distribution, a high quality hull straight out of the mold, reduced exposure to resin for engineers, and less harm to the environment.
Safety and comfort are an obvious focus of the Dufour 470: the large tilting bathing platform allows for easy and safe access on board. The step placed in front of the helm stations creates safe and comfortable access to the wide gangways from the cockpit. The large sundeck, located between the two steering wheels, is a popular space for relaxing and also provides storage space below. The spacious deck salon includes comfortable bench seating around the cockpit table. The table is fitted with flaps and provides ample space for storage. The large foredeck is a comfortable space for soaking up the sun.
